I'm Italian and a Marine veteran. I've had people on my back about dressing well and looking neat since I was a kid. I see young guys on tv, say an awards show, that look like they just fell out of bed. Too tight pants with goofy socks and sneakers. A sport jacket that looks two sizes too small. The shirt is also non fitting and the sleeves are too long and the skinny tie they wear is never pulled up all the way. And they haven't shaved in a week or more and their hair looks like it hasn't been washed in the same amount of time. If one of these kids came into my studio looking for a job, I would be polite, give them an application and tell them to mail it back to me. When I receive it I immediately put it in the shredder. If you want to be taken seriously and want to treated with respect and like a professional, get with the program. The old saying goes, "Dress for the job you want" Also, hats should never be worn indoors, not even in your friends apartment. Thats very rude. Oh yeah. Take the time to polish your shoes or at least find a shop that will do it for you. Don't be a slob. Grow up.
